Gifted Academy at Towne Meadows Adds 3rd Grade - Enrolling Now K-6th!
The Gifted Academy at Towne Meadows Elementary is set to include 3-grade students for the upcoming school year! Towne Meadows is a neighborhood K-6 elementary school and home to the Gifted Academy, the only self-contained elementary gifted program in the district. Transportation is provided for all students enrolled in the Gifted Academy and their siblings attending Towne Meadows across the district boundaries.
Towne Meadows Elementary is pleased to announce the expansion of the Gifted Academy to include 3rd-grade students for the upcoming school year! This expansion extends our specialized, self-contained model to young Gifted learners, providing a comprehensive educational experience for grades 3rd-6th.
Towne Meadows Elementary is a neighborhood K-6 elementary school and home to the Gifted Academy, the only self-contained elementary gifted program in the district, covering Gilbert and Mesa. Gifted Academy students learn in dedicated classrooms with a cohort of their peers for the entire school day. This environment allows our gifted-endorsed teachers and staff to provide a continuous, specialized curriculum that includes:
- Faster-paced learning that addresses advanced verbal, quantitative, and non-verbal reasoning skills.
- In-depth units - ranging from physics and math concepts to creative engineering - all designed to challenge high-ability learners.
- A supportive community where gifted learners interact with like-minded peers, fostering a sense of belonging and "Timberwolf" pride.
Regional transportation is provided for students enrolled in the Gifted Academy and their siblings attending Towne Meadows.
Application and Enrollment Information
Admission to the Gifted Academy is based on state-approved qualifying scores on the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT). We invite interested families to learn more about our classroom environment, our active Gifted Parent Council, and our unique curriculum by scheduling a campus visit.
