GA Events

Parent Night December 2nd, 2025 5:30-6:30 pm.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the program directly from the teachers, who will discuss The Gifted Academy and how it's designed to meet the unique needs of gifted learners. You'll also have a chance to speak with current students, parents, and the Gifted Academy Parent Council.

The Gifted Academy (GA) is designed for 3rd - 6th grade gifted learners.

For the 26/27 School year, student eligibility requires:

  • at least two scores in the 95th percentile or above (quantitative, verbal, and nonverbal)
  • or one area in the 97th percentile or above on the CogAT or similar state-approved test.

The teachers in Gifted Academy Classes are gifted-endorsed, and all activities and teaching are specifically designed to challenge students with supports unique to gifted learners. TME Gifted Academy students are eligible to move on to the Gifted Academy at Highland Junior High for 7th and 8th grade, creating a 3rd - 8th grade Gifted Academy experience!

At Towne Meadows Elementary, we make a promise to our students:

  • Love Them
  • Believe in them
  • Inspire a love of learning
  • Challenge them to grow
