My name is Stephen Salamon and I teach sixth grade, self-contained gifted Towne Meadows Elementary School in Gilbert, Arizona. I have been teaching self-contained gifted students at different grade levels for the past twelve years.
I am most proud of my education, having received my bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in English at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, my master’s degree (M.S.) in journalism at Syracuse University (Go Orange), and my Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
I practiced law in Chicago and then upstate New York. After I left law, I worked in the private business sector for twenty years, working my way up to a divisional vice-president position in a property and casualty insurance company. And then I changed careers and became a teacher, the best decision I ever made career wise.
I have been married for thirty-six years to the same wonderful woman and have two great children, one who is a School Psych in Chicago and one who is a Chef, who just recently moved to Arizona from Pittsburgh.
