Camps and Clinics

Gilbert Public Schools Athletics camps and clinics are hosted by our junior high and high school coaches. For eligibility and required camp/clinic information please see the Camps & Clinics Checklist and Requirements - pdf

Current Camps/Clinics:

This will be Gilbert’s 22nd annual summer basketball camp, which was started by legendary coach Tom Bennett in the summer of 1998. We will continue to offer our popular three-day Shooting Camp and 3 one-week Skills Camps.

Our Shooting Camp focuses on shooting mechanics each day along with individual and small group shooting drills that can be learned and done on your own time. There will also be daily contests and prizes to be won. Shooters are not born, they are made!

Our Skills Camps focus on all aspects of the game including: ball handling, transition basketball, rebounding and defense. We will also focus on individual practice habits and team concepts. Each of the three Skills Camps will focus on all basketball components, culminating with our exciting 3 on 3 tournament. Different drills and other competitions will be done each week for those campers that sign up for two or more Skills Camps.

Our camps are perfect for all ages, boys and girls. The campers will be broken up by grade K-12 and possibly skill level where a coach leads the camp and current players assist, typically making it a 6:1 camper to instructor ratio!

Both boys and girls head varsity coaches, Coach Caserio and Coach Pedersen, will be working the camps all summer! Register for camps on our website. On the homepage you will see an option to register and pay online. You can pay with a credit card, e-check or you can still mail in your registration to the PO box.
